Need help organizing my jewelry collection

Somewhere between moving houses last year and picking up "just one more" necklace every time I walked past a craft market, my jewelry collection has quietly evolved into a chaotic little dragon's hoard lol...I'm just a girl. Right now, it's a mix of tangled chains, mismatched earrings, and rings hiding in random bowls around the house. I've tried the little compartment trays, but I always end up tossing pieces on my dresser after wearing them "just for now" and then weeks later, I'm on my knees hunting for that one missing stud before work.

I'd love to finally have a system that's both functional and nice to look at, something where I can see everything at a glance, but that doesn't take up half the dresser. How do you all keep your jewelry organized so it's accessible, untangled, and maybe even a little inspiring to wear? cos tangled jewelry can cause them to wear faster and I'd really like for my future jewelry to last longer

I totally get this and I've been in the same boat before.
The first step I took was to actually let go of some pieces and keep an intentional selection of accessories.
Other than that, I bought a wall-mounted jewelry organizer with hooks for necklaces and bracelets, and a mesh backing for earrings.
It keeps everything visible and separate, so nothing gets tangled, and it frees up so much space on my dresser.
For rings and smaller pieces, I use a small decorative tray right next to my bed so I can easily toss them on there at the end of the day.
Honestly, I really don't own a lot of jewelries right now but I hope this helps you get started!
