My daughter's room overhaul

My 6 year old's room was overflowing with toys, clothes she's outgrown and puzzles missing pieces. Instead of splurging on new bins or shelving, we rearranged furniture and reused old diaper boxes covered in contact paper. It's not Pinterest perfect but now she can find her books and her floor. What do you do when your kid doesn't want to part with anything but space is tight?

Keep toys fresh, rotate them! Store some, and bring others out. Less mess, zero stress
Toy rotation is a very clever solution for keeping things interesting without a permanent goodbye. My daughter might go for it since nothing is being thrown away. How do you choose which toys go into storage without sparking a negotiation? And where do you find the room to store the 'away' box when space is already limited? We just finished the current clear-out, so maybe we can attempt a rotation system next month.
